Happy Friday world.
I have been trying to plan a trip to Moab since I moved here in August.  We have had a few setbacks like poor planning, late starts, weather, and non dog friendly issues.
I have finally planned the trip, picked a weekend with sunny skies and high 60's, and figured out how to enjoy the area with my pooch.
Saturday: 5:30 - 6:00 am departure from Salt Lake City.  Get to Dead Horse Point Park around 10-11 am.  (10$ entrance free).  Hike a 5 mile loop around the park (dog friendly park!).  After our hike drive around Canyonlands (non-dog friendly trails so just a drive around the park with pictures).  Set up campsite, have dinner, bed early for an early wake up call.
Sunrise at Mesa Arch
Sunday:  Drive to Arches National Park-  (sunrise at 6:53).  0.7 miles each way.  Early morning will be chilly- non dog friendly park- leave Olive in the car while we head to Mesa Arch to watch the sunrise.  After the sunrise- back to the car, drive around Arches (pictures and sights) no hiking- not dog friendly.   After Arches head to Nego Bills Canyon- 5 mile hike dog friendly.  Leave for Salt Lake City by 5pm.
Stay tuned in Instagram (RunningARagnar) for all of my weekend pictures and I will be back Monday with a post on Moab.
Cease the weekend friends.
